Memorial House of Mihail Sadoveanu, Fălticeni

The Memorial House of Mihail Sadoveanu features a traditional Romanian architectural design with original furnishings and personal objects from the author's residence.

Built in 1908 according to Sadoveanu's specifications, this house served as the writer's residence from 1909 to 1918, during which he produced numerous literary works.

The museum displays an extensive collection of manuscripts, photographs, and first editions that document the evolution of Romanian literature in the early 20th century.

Located at 68 Ion Creangă Street in the Oprişeni district, the memorial house maintains regular visiting hours and organizes guided tours in Romanian.

The elevated position of the building, known locally as The House on the Hill, provided Sadoveanu with the setting where he wrote Evening Tales and The Dead Men's Water.
