Arad Administrative Palace

The Arad Administrative Palace is a city hall building with Renaissance Revival style featuring symmetrical design and classical details on its main facade. The structure displays refined architectural elements and continues to serve as the working center of municipal and county administration.

Construction took place between 1872 and 1876, with architect Ferenc Pekar modifying the original design plans. The completion of the building marked an important phase in Arad's development during the late 1800s.

The building houses both city hall and the county administration, making it the center where local decisions and governance happen. Walking by or inside, you can sense how important this structure is to residents as a symbol of civic authority.

The building is open for official business during weekdays and is located on Revoluției Boulevard in the city center. It is best visited during working hours when you can observe the normal activity of the administrative offices.

Inside the building are painted stained glass windows created by local artist Sever Frențiu that add decorative richness to the interior spaces. The tower incorporates architectural features inspired by Flemish town halls, blending European influences into its overall design.
