Tigăile din Ciucaș, Nature reserve in Ciucaș Mountains, Romania
The Tigăile din Ciucaș reserve contains limestone rock formations rising between 80 and 100 meters, creating a diverse geological landscape in the Carpathian Mountains.
The natural reserve received official protection status through Law No. 5 from March 6, 2000, establishing a protected area of 3 hectares in northeastern Prahova County.
The region surrounding the reserve includes the Cheia Monastery from 1782 and the Suzana Monastery from 1740, both representing Romanian Orthodox architectural heritage.
Visitors can access the reserve through multiple routes from Ploiești, Sinaia, or Brașov, with accommodation options available in the nearby Cheia resort.
The rock formations within the reserve bear names such as Devil's Hand, Small Cauldrons, Goliath's Tower, and Bratocei Fangs.
