Baia de Aramă monastery, Religious monastery in Baia de Aramă, Romania.
The religious complex stands on a hilltop in northwestern Oltenia, featuring brick construction and traditional Romanian architectural elements from the early 1700s.
Construction of the monastery started on May 22, 1699, under the direction of ruler Constantin Brancoveanu and local mining leader Milco Băiașul.
The interior paintings by Neagoe and Partenie present the portraits of Milco Băiașul, his family, and ruler Constantin Brancoveanu on the church walls.
The monastery transformed into a nunnery in 2008 and remains under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Severin and Strehaia.
The monastery walls contain silver artifacts and religious objects received as gifts from the Hilandar Monastery of Mount Athos.
