Kuća pukovnika Elezovića

Kuća pukovnika Elezovića is a residential building with eclectic architecture in the Vračar district. The structure features square towers above bay windows and a symmetrically composed facade anchored by a central arched entrance.

The building was completed in 1927 as one of architect Aleksandar Deroko's initial projects upon returning from Paris to Belgrade. It represents his early influence on the city's architectural development.

The facade displays ornate arabesque reliefs featuring centaurs and other motifs, created by sculptor Živojin Lukić. These artistic elements give the building a distinctive visual identity that goes beyond its basic residential purpose.

The building houses rental apartments on the ground and first floors, studio units in the attic, and the owner's residence on the second floor. This layout demonstrates how different housing types were integrated into a single structure.

The building intentionally blends old and modern design elements, combining decorative and flat surfaces in an unconventional way. This mixture of contrasting architectural languages creates an unexpected harmony between opposing styles.
