Kapetanovo Castle, Neo-Gothic castle in Stari Lec, Serbia.
The castle features high gables on three sides with stepped edges, Gothic arched windows, and a tall square tower with serrated endings.
Built in 1904 by Torontál County ispán Béla Botka, the castle changed owners in 1938 when merchant Franc Maj purchased it as dowry for his daughter.
The building represents early 20th-century architectural preferences of wealthy Serbian landowners who sought to recreate medieval castle aesthetics.
Located 2 kilometers southwest of Stari Lec village along the Vršac-Zrenjanin road, the castle now functions as a restaurant with hotel accommodations.
Local workers report finding strands of blonde hair while mowing the castle grounds, connected to the tale of Emma Botka's tragic death in 1938.
