Château Damaskin à Hajdučica

Château Damaskin à Hajdučica is a neoclassical building with symmetrical facades and a main front held up by four Doric columns topped by a triangular gable. The estate sits within 3.7 hectares of parkland designed in traditional style, with a lake on the grounds, and the structure currently serves as an administrative center.

The castle was built in 1911 as a residence for the daughter of Lazar Dunđerski, a local landowner. The Damaskin family, who owned the property before, had held a noble title since 1799, marking the estate's long connection to the region's upper class.

The interior furnishings and artworks reflect the tastes of the original owner and his family circle. Walking through the rooms shows how a wealthy household at the start of the 20th century arranged their daily surroundings and what they chose to display.

The park is easy to walk around and offers plenty of space to explore the grounds at your own pace. Wear comfortable shoes since the area is large with various paths and sections to discover.

The park contains rare tree species such as oak, white poplar, and maple that date from when such gardens were designed following European standards of the era. These trees are now over a century old and shape the character of the entire property.
