Крајковачко језеро, meer in Servië
Крајковачко језеро, also known as Krajkovačko jezero, is an artificial reservoir on the southwestern slopes of the Mali Jastrebac mountain in Merošina municipality, Serbia. The dam that formed it sits on the Krajkovačka River, and the surrounding land is covered with gentle wooded hills.
The dam on the Krajkovačka River was completed in 1986, which is when the reservoir first filled with water. It was built to support water management in the region and has served that purpose ever since.
The reservoir sits in a hilly setting and is mostly used on weekends for fishing and walking along the shore. People from nearby villages come here to sit by the water and spend time away from everyday life.
The lake is reachable by road from the village of Krajkovac, which lies to the southeast. Paths run around the water and work well for both walking and cycling at any time of year.
Trout once lived in the lake but have since disappeared, while species like roach and rudd have remained. The mix of fish draws anglers who might not expect to find a productive fishing spot this close to a small village.
