Крајковачко језеро, meer in Servië
Krajkovačko jezero is an artificial reservoir created in 1986 when a dam was built across the Krajkovačka River on the southwestern slopes of Mali Jastrebac mountain. The lake spans approximately one square kilometer with a length of around 1,600 meters (5,250 feet) and width of roughly 600 meters (1,970 feet).
The lake was created in 1986 with the construction of a dam on the Krajkovačka River, a left tributary of the South Morava. The dam became part of the region's water management and has served local needs ever since.
The lake holds importance in local life as a weekend retreat where fishing and nature walks are common activities. Residents value it as a place to step away from daily routines and connect with their surroundings.
The lake is located about 2.5 kilometers northwest of the village of Krajkovac in Merošina municipality and is accessible by road from the village. Multiple paths surround the water for walking and cycling, making it easy to explore the area on foot or by bike.
The water contains several fish species including roach and rudd, though trout that once inhabited the lake have disappeared over time. The animal life surrounding the reservoir attracts nature enthusiasts who value the bird songs and quiet landscape.
