Sunzhensky District, Municipal district in Ingushetia, Russia
Sunzhensky District extends across 1,513 square kilometers in eastern and central Ingushetia, containing eleven rural settlements and the administrative center of Sunzha.
The district emerged on June 4, 1992, from territories that were previously part of the Sunzha Cossack Okrug during the Russian Empire period.
The district includes multiple rural settlements where residents maintain traditional practices, including Alkun, Alkhasty, Arshty, Ber-Yurt, Galashki, and Dattykh communities.
The district operates under Moscow Standard Time and maintains administrative authority over eleven rural localities through its municipal framework system.
The district recorded 116,470 residents during the 2010 Census, with the town of Sunzha representing 52.9 percent of the total population.
