Kazansky District

Kazansky District extends across 3,094 square kilometers of rolling plains with forest-steppe landscapes, containing 140 lakes and the Ishim River flowing north.

The district formation occurred on June 10, 1931, during Soviet administrative reforms, with earlier Russian settlements dating back to the mid-1700s frontier period.

The district maintains strong agricultural traditions through its 40 rural localities, where inhabitants cultivate crops and engage in cattle raising across extensive farmlands.

The district center Kazanskoye connects to major transport routes, situated 280 kilometers southeast of Tyumen city and 60 kilometers from the nearest railway station.

The territory features a distinct environmental composition with 25 percent forests, 25 percent cropland, and 35 percent pastures, supporting diverse agricultural activities.
