Uzlovaya

Uzlovaya is a railway hub town in Tula Oblast and serves as the administrative center for the surrounding district. Three major railway lines pass through the town, connecting it to other cities in the region.

The settlement started in 1873 as a railway station village and was renamed in 1877. It was granted town status in 1938 after the railway and mining industries had grown in importance.

The town grew around its railway station and coal mines, which shaped how people lived and worked here over generations. You can still see this industrial past reflected in the buildings and local life.

The railway stations are easy to reach and trains connect in several directions from here. The warmer months offer the best time to explore the town and get around on foot.

The town was founded at the point where railway lines met, which is why it was named after the junction. This strategic location is what allowed a whole settlement to grow here.
