Vitebsky railway station

The first railway station in Russia opened in 1837 with a wooden structure, later replaced by architect Konstantin Thon's stone building between 1849 and 1852.

The interior halls display painted panels illustrating the early developments of Russian railways, while the architecture incorporates classical elements and decorative features.

The terminal connects to multiple destinations across Central Europe, Baltic States, Ukraine, Belarus, and provides direct access to Pushkinskaya metro station.

The station maintains its original elevated train shed and luggage elevators from the early 1900s, making it a frequent filming location for period productions.
