Бобачёвская роща, Regional nature park in Tver, Russia
Bobachevskaya Grove is a natural pine forest in eastern Tver that consists of two distinct forest generations. The older trees grow alongside younger pines, creating a layered woodland structure.
The grove was renamed in the 1960s to its current designation from a previous name tied to a nearby village. This change reflected a shift in how the area was perceived at that time.
The forest serves as a gathering place where local residents walk and spend time outdoors together. It provides a natural retreat from the city where people can enjoy simple leisure activities under the trees.
The forest is best explored during dry weather when paths are easy to walk on. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and explore during daylight hours for better orientation.
The grove is home to numerous birds including ravens, crows, and jackdaws that nest and breed among the pines. These bird colonies are a living part of the woodland ecosystem.
