Бумажная просека

Bumazhnaya Proseka is a protected forest path through Losiny Ostrov National Park that runs for several kilometers. The route connects two urban streets while passing through different woodland sections with natural clearings.

In the early 1800s, the path served as a timber route delivering wood to paper mills along the Yauza River. This industrial use shaped the landscape for decades before the area gained protected status.

The trail links the city to wild nature and draws visitors for walks and bird watching. Locals use it regularly as an escape from urban life.

The path is walkable and bikeable with solid surfaces making it easy to navigate. Motor vehicles are not permitted, keeping the setting peaceful and safe for visitors.

The path was deliberately paved with asphalt to keep out park vehicles while preserving the surrounding woodland untouched. This unusual approach shows how recreation and conservation can work together.
