Знаменская церковь

Znamensky Church is an Orthodox church in Irkutsk featuring two-tiered windows, ornate stone carvings, and white walls topped with five copper-green domes in Siberian Baroque style. The building sits on the Angara River bank as the centerpiece of a larger monastery complex.

The church was built between 1757 and 1762 with funding from merchant Ivan Bechevin and later became part of a larger monastery. In 1990 it received the relics of Saint Innocent of Irkutsk, establishing it as a major religious center.
