Ar-Rahim Mosque

Ar-Rahim Mosque is a religious building in Ufa with a distinctive golden glass dome featuring a honeycomb pattern. The structure has four tall minarets and can accommodate up to five thousand worshippers, with separate areas for prayer and visitor access.

Construction started in 2007 to mark four hundred fifty years since Bashkortostan joined Russia. The project was funded by private donations and represents a significant moment in the region's development.

The name refers to mercy in Islamic tradition, and visitors can observe worshippers during prayer while exploring the interior spaces. This building serves as a gathering place for the local Muslim community and a center for religious life in the city.

The building safeguards a significant religious relic: a hair from Prophet Muhammad's beard, one of only two preserved in the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia. This rare item makes the location especially meaningful for believers across the world.
