Памятник М. Е. Пятницкому

The memorial features a bust of Mitrofan Pyatnitsky mounted on a column, surrounded by a semicircular composition of red Karelian granite at the center of a small park.

The monument, inaugurated on September 17, 1988, honors Mitrofan Pyatnitsky, who established the first Russian folk choir in 1910 and dedicated his life to preserving traditional songs.

Bronze balalaika and accordion decorations on the granite base represent traditional Russian musical instruments, while surrounding birch trees symbolize the female choir members.

The memorial stands 0.9 kilometers from central Voronezh near the Officers House, making it accessible through regular public transportation and walking routes.

The sculptors E. N. Pak and I. P. Dikunov incorporated musical elements into the memorial design, creating the only monument in Russia dedicated to this folklorist.
