Октябрьский мост, Steel and concrete bridge in Lipetsk, Russia.
The Oktyabrsky Bridge spans the Voronezh River and links the southwestern neighborhoods with the industrial Tractor district of Lipetsk through multiple traffic lanes. The structure serves as a major crossing for both private vehicles and public transport in the city.
Construction started in 1969 under the Mostostroy-1 Trust and opened fully to traffic in 1972. The bridge received its present name in 1987, having previously been identified by a technical designation.
The bridge received its current name Oktyabrsky in December 1987, replacing its previous technical designation as Bridge Crossing Number 2.
The bridge carries tram lines 1 and 5 plus several bus routes, making it a key transportation corridor. Visitors should expect regular traffic flow, especially during peak hours.
Engineers solved a dramatic elevation difference between the two riverbanks during construction through innovative engineering approaches. This technical challenge made the crossing one of the more complex projects of its era.
