Pyramid in Kazan, Entertainment complex in Kazan, Russia
The Pyramid in Kazan is an entertainment complex with a geometric structure of glass and metal rising approximately 100 feet (30 meters) from the ground. Inside sits a multifunctional hall seating around 1,200 people, equipped with advanced sound systems for diverse performances and events.
Construction began in 1997 under the TAIF Group's initiative, replacing an incomplete cinema project at Moskovskaya Street. The project marked a turning point for this location after years of vacant land.
The structure merges Egyptian pyramid forms with the Tatar emblem of Ak Bars, creating a blend of distant and local cultural symbols. This fusion appears throughout the building's visual design.
You can view the building from outside or attend events regularly held in the hall. Two panoramic elevators allow visitors to see through the glass structure across the city and toward the Kazan Kremlin.
The building features two panoramic elevators that move visitors through the glass shell while showcasing views of Kazan's skyline and the historic Kremlin. Many people visit mainly for the experience of riding these elevators and enjoying the views from inside.
