The Fanagoria Barracks display a combination of Baroque and Empire architectural styles with detailed exterior decorations and symmetrical proportions.
Built between 1753 and 1757 on the site of a burned physician's house, the barracks underwent reconstruction in 1827 under architect Osip Bove.
The Fanagoria Barracks served as home to multiple military institutions, including the First Moscow Cadet Corps and the Fanagoria Suvorov Grenadier Regiment.
The building is currently undergoing restoration to become part of the Moscow State Technical University campus as the Palace of Technologies.
The structure began as a postal yard in the early 18th century before transforming into a military facility with grand entrance staircases.
