Anna Mons house, Federal cultural heritage building in Basmanny District, Moscow, Russia

Anna Mons house stands on Baumanskaya Street and is a residential building from the 17th century with preserved original features. The three-story structure displays typical elements of Moscow architecture from that time, with visible facade details and traditional windows.

The house was built in the 17th century and was the residence of a woman who maintained a close relationship with Tsar Peter I from 1691 to 1703. This connection to power made the building an important location in Moscow society at that time.

The residence housed a woman closely connected to the imperial court and shows how affluent foreign settlers lived in Moscow. Its architecture blends German and Russian building styles, reflecting the cosmopolitan character of the city during that era.

The building sits centrally in Moscow and is well served by public transportation. The location on Baumanskaya Street has regular metro lines and bus connections passing nearby.

The house received protected status because significant private meetings took place here that influenced the modernization of the Russian Empire. Today visitors can see the location where history and daily life intersected during this transformative period.
