Founded in 1944 during World War II, the theatre began its journey with the production of The Siege of Leyden by I. Shtock.

Located in central Khabarovsk, the theatre presents approximately 400 performances annually and offers educational programs in partnership with local schools.
The theatre received recognition when its production Little Kid earned a Golden Mask award nomination in 2010, followed by a Russian Government Prize.
