Holy Myrrhbearers church

The white stone church features five domes and extends from east to west with a high bell tower and prayer halls in linear arrangement.

The church, constructed in 1649, replaced an earlier wooden structure from the 13th century that endured multiple fires and reconstructions throughout its existence.

The church preserves traditional Orthodox practices through regular services, maintaining its role as a central religious institution in Nizhny Novgorod since the 17th century.

The church holds daily services at 8:30 and 16:00, with access available via tram stop 'Dobrolyubova Street' at 13A Dobrolyubov Street.

This structure marks the first instance in Russian architectural history of a church built in a 'ship' style, stretching linearly from east to west.
