Alexandrino park, Park and estate in Kirovsky District, Saint Petersburg, Russia
Alexandrino Park is an estate with an extensive park in the Kirovsky District of Saint Petersburg. The grounds feature several ponds, islands, and tree-lined paths connected through a designed landscape.
The estate was designed in 1770 by architect Jean-Baptiste Vallin de la Mothe and later became the property of Count Alexander Sheremetev. Over time, it served different purposes as its original use changed.
The park is named after one of its former owners and displays elements of Russian aristocratic design traditions. Visitors can observe how landscape and buildings were combined to create a place of status and refinement.
The estate is located along Prospekt Stachek and is easy to access. The grounds have well-maintained paths where you can walk through different areas.
The estate was converted into a psychiatric hospital in 1828, showing an unusual adaptation of the space. During the Soviet period, the grounds housed workers from the nearby Kirov Plant, which shaped its history in unexpected ways.
