Stockholm Olympic Stadium
Stockholm Olympic Stadium, Olympic sports facility in Stockholm, Sweden
The Stockholm Olympic Stadium features red brick architecture with embedded patterns, reliefs, and statues spread across its 105 by 68 meters structure.
Built in 1912 as the main venue for the Summer Olympics, the stadium later hosted the 1956 Olympic equestrian events due to quarantine rules in Melbourne.
The facility maintains its position as a sports center while accommodating major concerts by international performers and serving as the finish line for Stockholm Marathon.
Located at Lidingövägen, the stadium remains open daily for public activities such as jogging and soccer practice, with a capacity of 14,500 for sports events.
Among Olympic venues worldwide, this stadium holds the record for most athletics world records, with 83 established within its grounds by 2008.
