Kymlinge metro station, Ghost metro station in Sundbyberg Municipality, Sweden.
Kymlinge is an underground station in Sundbyberg with a platform that spans both a tunnel section and an open-air segment. The installation has safety refuges built into its edges and all technical systems remain intact.
Construction began in the 1970s as part of Stockholm's blue line extension but remained unfinished when local authorities halted the project. The decision was made to protect the surrounding green spaces from further development.
Local stories tell of a silver-colored train named Silverpilen that allegedly stops at this station, where according to legend only deceased passengers disembark.
The station remains visible from trains passing on the blue line between Hallonbergen and Kista, traveling at speeds up to 80 kilometers per hour. Visitors can view the structure from ground level at several vantage points around the perimeter.
Although fully built and equipped with operational systems, the station never opened to passengers and was abandoned before service began. Local folklore speaks of Silverpilen, a silver-colored ghost train, creating an unusual connection between reality and urban legend at this forgotten location.
