Näsbyholm Castle, Manor house in Skurup Municipality, Sweden.
Näsbyholm is a manor house in Skurup, Sweden, with a main building constructed in 1957 and an east wing added in 1994. The architecture follows contemporary design, situated on spacious grounds west of the town.
A fortified manor house from the 14th century stood on this site until 1865, when demolition allowed for new construction. The current building rose in the mid-20th century according to modern standards.
The von Blixen-Finecke family shaped this place across generations through their residence here. The estate reflects traditions of Swedish nobility that remain visible today in how the grounds are maintained and presented.
The site lies about 4 kilometers west of Skurup and is easily reached by car. Visitors should note that the setting is rural and road access to the grounds may be limited.
A solar energy park began operations on the grounds in January 2022. This blend of historical estate and modern renewable technology shows how old places can take on new functions.
