Albert Engström-gården, Working life and writers' museum in Grisslehamn, Sweden.
Albert Engström-gården houses both a working life museum and writers' museum in the former home of Swedish artist and humorist Albert Engström, featuring his preserved studio and living quarters from the early 1900s.
Albert Engström purchased this coastal property in 1902 for approximately 9,000 kronor from the widow of sea captain August Lindström, living here with his wife Sigrid until 1916 when they moved to Stockholm.
The museum preserves Engström's artistic legacy through exhibitions of his illustrations, manuscripts, and personal belongings, showcasing his significant contributions to Swedish humor and cultural life in the early 20th century.
The museum operates from June 21 to August 17 with daily hours from 11:00 to 17:00, offering hourly guided tours of the studio and charging 150 SEK for combined admission.
The museum serves as the northern endpoint of the Roslagsleden hiking trail and features a historic signal cannon from the early 1700s positioned near the main building.
