Adelswärdska huset is an office building from the late 1800s located in central Stockholm, situated directly next to the Prime Minister's official residence. Today it houses government office spaces and forms part of the administrative core of the city.
The building was constructed in 1890 and initially owned by the company Söderberg & Haak. It changed hands to Ratos AB in 1980 and was subsequently acquired by the Swedish state to serve as a government facility.
The building represents the evolution of Swedish business architecture and maintains its position as a central element in Stockholm's administrative district.
The location is subject to security restrictions due to its proximity to government buildings and is not freely accessible to the public. Visitors should be aware that the surrounding area has heightened security measures and photography may be restricted.
When auctioned in 2019, the property achieved a notable price of around 220,000 SEK per square meter. The total transaction value reached approximately 550 million SEK, reflecting the premium placed on this central location.
