Artisten

Artisten is an office and educational building at Götaplatsen housing studios and performance spaces for the University of Gothenburg's music and drama programs. The structure contains multiple rehearsal rooms and specialized facilities designed for professional-level artistic training.

The building has long served as the main home of the Academy of Music and Drama and played a central role in the city's artistic education. A major renovation and expansion project beginning in 2023 will fundamentally reshape its appearance and capacity.

The space brings together students from music, drama, dance, and other artistic fields who practice and study together daily. You will encounter rehearsals and performances that shape the character of the building as a working creative space.
