Kalmar Nation occupies a central location in Lund, operating multiple venues including traditional pubs and dining facilities for university students throughout the week.
Founded on February 29, 1696, Kalmar Nation temporarily merged with Östgöta and Västgöta Nations to form Götiska Nation in 1767 before regaining independence in 1817.
The traditional Storaste Kroppkaka celebration, featuring a Swedish potato dish, represents a significant part of the nation's identity since its first occurrence in 1897.
Members can access services at the office from Monday to Friday between 11:00 and 13:00, with additional evening hours on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The nation maintains residential buildings in two different areas of Lund, managing 78 corridor rooms and 18 apartments for student accommodation.
