Långbro park

Långbro Park is a green space in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör district with a large pond as its central feature. Paved walkways connect different areas of the park, with mature trees and seasonal flowers dotting the landscape.

The site once housed Långbro Hospital, a psychiatric facility that operated for many decades. After the facility closed in the 1990s, the grounds were transformed into a public park.

The park serves as a meeting place where local people spend time outdoors year-round on the grass and pathways. Residents gather at benches and use the space for quiet moments away from the neighborhood.

Several paved paths allow for walking, jogging, and cycling throughout the park. Benches are distributed along the routes, providing places to rest and sit.

The central pond freezes during winter months, creating a natural ice skating surface. This seasonal feature transforms the park into a special place for winter activities.
