Umeå rådhus, Government building at Rådhustorget in Umeå, Sweden
The red brick town hall features multiple towers and light sandstone details, following Dutch Renaissance Revival architectural principles from the late 19th century.
The current town hall, completed in 1890, replaced three previous structures that served the city since the 17th century, each marking different periods of development.
The building contains administrative offices and functions as the assembly room for the City Council, maintaining its role in local governance.
Positioned next to the Ume River at Rådhustorget 1, the town hall stands near Västerbotten Museum, which is 1.4 kilometers away.
A bronze bust of Gustav II Adolf, installed in 1924, stands at the southern side to commemorate the city's 300-year history.
