Kempinski Palace Portorož

The Kempinski Palace sits along the Adriatic coast with a white facade and contains 181 rooms spread across historical and modern buildings. The property includes saltwater pools, spa facilities, two restaurants offering Mediterranean cuisine, and various event spaces.

The hotel opened in August 1910 under the design of Austrian architect Johann Eustacchio during Austro-Hungarian rule over the region. The building closed in 1990 and later underwent major restoration while keeping its outer walls intact.

The property was designated as a cultural monument in 1983, with its front park recognized as a monument of designed nature. Visitors can experience how the building and its surrounding landscape were intentionally shaped together.

The property sits near the coast with easy walking access to Portoroz center and nearby beaches. The grounds cover a large area with several distinct sections, so visitors may want to allow time to explore.
