The Casino Society constructed Kazina Palace in 1837 as a gathering space for Ljubljana's upper class, featuring dedicated rooms for reading and social events.
The building gained recognition when Slovene poet France Prešeren encountered his muse Julija Primic during a dance event within its halls.
Several institutions now occupy the palace, including the Institute of Modern History, Archives of Slovenia, and multiple academic organizations.
