St. Cantianus and Companions Parish Church

St. Cantianus and Companions Parish Church is a stone structure built in the Gothic style at the heart of Kranj, featuring pointed arches and carefully carved stonework. The exterior displays typical Gothic features including masonry with decorative details and public clocks set into the walls.

The church was built in the early 1400s and became a significant religious center in Kranj. Its architectural approach later influenced the design of other Gothic churches throughout the region.

The church honors Saint Cantius and his companions, a veneration deeply rooted in Kranj's religious life for centuries. You can sense this connection through the interior details and the way locals regard this place as their spiritual center.

Access is through the main entrance on the western side of the building. The clocks on the exterior walls help visitors with timing and are visible from the surrounding area.
