Poprad

Poprad is a town in northern Slovakia situated at the edge of the High Tatras. It spreads across rolling terrain and is crossed by several rivers that shape its landscape.

The town was first documented in 1256 when Slavic people lived in the area. German settlers arrived later after Mongol invasions and influenced how the town developed.
