Wysoka

The limestone peak of Wysoka reaches an elevation of 1050 meters, forming the highest point in the Pieniny Mountains range near the Polish border.

The mountain region surrounding Wysoka has been a natural border between Poland and Slovakia, marking territorial boundaries through different historical periods since medieval times.

Local mountaineering traditions include annual celebrations at Wysoka's summit, where Slovak and Polish hikers gather to reinforce cross-border friendship through shared outdoor activities.

Multiple marked hiking paths lead to the summit from both Slovak and Polish sides, with the main trail starting at the parking area near Červený Kláštor village.

The summit platform provides clear views of three mountain ranges: the Tatra Mountains, the Pieniny Mountains, and the Beskids on days with good visibility.
