Eliášovka

Eliášovka is a mountain located on the border between Slovakia and Poland within the Ľubovnianska vrchovina range, rising to approximately 1023 m (3356 ft). The peak sits at the edge of this mountain ridge, marking the boundary between the two countries and their surrounding territories.

This mountain area has long served as a natural boundary between Slovak and Polish communities, shaping how settlements developed on each side. Traditional forestry and pastoral activities in the surrounding heights were central to the way people used this border region throughout time.

The mountain territory connects Slovak and Polish communities through shared festivals, where residents gather to celebrate regional traditions and customs.

Marked hiking trails approach the summit from both the Slovak and Polish sides, each offering different levels of difficulty for various skill levels. The easiest access times are spring through autumn, when paths are well-maintained and weather conditions tend to be more reliable.

On clear days, the summit provides views of both countries at once, with the landscape on each side displaying subtly different characteristics. This vantage point reveals how a political boundary runs across a cohesive mountain landscape.
