Chłopek, Mountain summit in High Tatras, Slovakia

Located at an elevation of 2,340 meters, Chłopek stands as a rocky peak in the main ridge of the High Tatras between Mięguszowiecki Szczyt Czarny and Mięguszowiecki Szczyt Pośredni.

The first documented ascent of Chłopek took place on September 11, 1905, when mountaineers Katherine Bröske and Simon Häberlein reached its summit during their Tatra exploration.

The name Chłopek derives from the Podhale dialect, referring to rock formations that resemble human figures when viewed from certain angles in the mountains.

Access to Chłopek requires following the green-marked path from Czarny Staw pod Rysami lake to Mięguszowiecka Przełęcz pod Chłopkiem pass, though no marked trails lead directly to the summit.

The summit serves as a geographical boundary point between Poland and Slovakia, with its distinctive silhouette making it an important reference point for mountaineers in the region.
