Kľacký vodopád

Kľacký vodopád is a waterfall in the Lúčanská Malá Fatra mountains that drops roughly 30 meters through limestone rock formations. The water flows in multiple tiers, creating a series of small pools and cascades as it descends through the landscape.

The site was designated as a natural monument in 1996, receiving official protection as a significant natural formation in the region. This recognition aimed to preserve its geological and ecological characteristics for future generations.

The water at this waterfall continues to flow even during dry periods, which is unusual for the mountain region. This consistent water source creates a specialized habitat for rare freshwater mollusk species found nowhere else nearby.
