Bratislavský-nákupné stredisko, Shopping center in Ovsište, Slovakia
The Bratislavský Shopping Center is a mixed-use complex in Ovsische featuring retail spaces, dining establishments, a cinema, and community areas. The sections connect via an overpass that crosses Mamateyova Street.
The complex was built between 1978 and 1982, opening in December 1985 under the original name Slovzdroj Shopping Center. It received its current name in December 2021 as a tribute to Juraj Bratislavský.
The center hosts spaces where residents gather for community activities and social events throughout the year. These areas form part of the daily rhythm of the neighborhood and bring people together for common purposes.
The site houses a grocery store, fitness center, various retail shops, and leisure facilities for day-to-day needs. Visitors can park easily and navigate the interconnected sections without difficulty.
The center's name follows an unusual grammatical structure in Slovak that sparks discussion among locals. This naming quirk makes it distinctive within the neighborhood.
