Taksin Maharat National Park

The Thanon Thongchai mountain range runs through the center of this 149-square-kilometer park, featuring waterfalls, caves, and dense forests.

Initially named Ton Krabak Yai, the park received its designation as Thailand's 38th national park in 1981 and was renamed to honor King Taksin.

The park contains evidence of historical military routes where Burmese King Alaungpaya led his army through the mountainous terrain.

Located 26 kilometers west of Tak town, the park offers marked trails, camping facilities, and guided tours through its diverse ecosystems.

The park houses Thailand's largest tree, a 700-year-old krabak specimen measuring 50 meters in height with a 16-meter circumference.
