Don Mueang Tollway

Don Mueang Tollway is an elevated expressway that runs for about 28 kilometers through Bangkok, rising above Vibhavadi Rangsit Road below. It features multiple entry and exit points designed to move vehicles efficiently across the northern parts of the city.

The expressway opened in 1994 when the Department of Highways built it to handle rising traffic in northern Bangkok. The road has been managed through a private operator agreement that handles its day-to-day operations.

The tollway reflects Thailand's approach to urban development by incorporating both government oversight and private sector management in transportation infrastructure.

You can find entry and exit ramps distributed along the route, making it easy to access the expressway from different parts of the city. Toll rates vary depending on your vehicle type and the distance traveled.

The Build-Transfer-Operate agreement grants operational rights to Don Mueang Tollway Co. Ltd until September 2034, while the Department of Highways retains land ownership.
