Mae Ping National Park

Mae Ping National Park stretches across 1,003 square kilometers of mountains, forests, and rivers, with elevations reaching up to 1,334 meters at Don Huai Lao peak.

The park received its official designation on August 8, 1981, becoming Thailand's 32nd national park following surveys that demonstrated the region's ecological importance.

Local ethnic communities within the park boundaries maintain traditional agricultural practices, contributing to the land management patterns visible throughout the protected area.

Visitors can access the park by driving 80 kilometers south from Lamphun on Highway 106 to Li town, then following Highway 1087 to reach the headquarters.

The park contains seven-tiered Ko Luang Waterfall and Kaeng Koh lake, where visitors stay in floating raft houses surrounded by deciduous forest.
