This institution is a military academy in Si Ka-ang, Thailand, spreading across several hundred hectares and combining classrooms with training grounds. The compound connects study halls, sports fields, dormitories, and dedicated spaces for military instruction.
In 1958, several preparatory schools from the army, navy, and air force merged to form this academy. The police joined the new institution later, bringing their own training methods along.
The academy maintains specific traditions where cadets forge strong bonds while participating in physical training, academic studies, and military education programs.
Classes run four days a week and cover science, mathematics, and engineering preparation alongside military exercises. Courses start early in the morning and alternate between classroom theory and outdoor physical activities.
Every year more than 70,000 candidates apply for about 600 places, making selection one of the most competitive in Thailand. Fewer than one percent of applicants are eventually admitted.
