Kanchanaphisek Bridge

The Kanchanaphisek Bridge stretches 951 meters across the Chao Phraya River with a central span of 500 meters and stands 52 meters above sea level.

The Kanchanaphisek Bridge, opened in November 2007, represents the first bridge connecting the Phra Pradaeng District across the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan Province.

The bridge received its name from King Bhumibol Adulyadej during the Golden Jubilee celebrations, with Kanchanaphisek translating to Golden Jubilee in Thai language.

The Kanchanaphisek Bridge functions as a segment of the Outer Ring Road encircling Bangkok, requiring toll payment as part of the Kanchanaphisek Expressway system.

The engineering firm Parsons Brinckerhoff designed this structure with a clearance of 52.2 meters to allow large cargo vessels to pass beneath.
