Tham Pla - Namtok Pha Suea National Park, National park in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand
The national park spans 488 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, featuring steep peaks, dense forests, and numerous limestone caves throughout the landscape.
The Department of National Parks officially designated this protected area as Thailand's newest national park on December 23, 2009, preserving its natural resources.
Local communities maintain traditional practices around Tham Pla cave, where hundreds of mahseer barb fish swim in the waters near a Hindu statue.
Visitors can access multiple hiking trails, observation points, and natural swimming areas within the park, with the main entrance located 18 kilometers from Mae Hong Son town.
The park contains Doi Lan peak at 1,918 meters elevation, where tropical evergreen forests meet mixed deciduous woodlands, creating distinct ecological zones.
