Wat Tan Lom

Wat Tan Lom is a Buddhist monastery in Mueang featuring a bell-shaped main chedi as its central structure. The grounds include an assembly hall, ordination hall, and a surrounding moat that defines the sacred space.

A stone inscription reveals that nobleman Phanom Sai Dam donated land for the temple after the death of a royal patron. This foundation established the site as an important religious location in the region.

Thirty-two elephant sculptures surround the base of the main chedi, giving the temple its distinctive appearance. These sculptures actually inspired the name that people use for this place.
