Erawan National Park, National park in Kanchanaburi, Thailand
The park spans 550 square kilometers of mountains, limestone formations, caves, and forests containing diverse plant and animal species.
The park received official designation in 1975 following extensive surveys of the Salop Mountain range conducted between 1961 and 1972.
The name derives from Erawan, a three-headed elephant in Hindu mythology, reflected in the cascading tiers of the main waterfall.
The entrance opens from 8:00 to 16:30, with admission fees of 300 baht for foreign adults and 100 baht for children.
The seven-level Erawan Falls forms natural pools where small fish swim alongside visitors in clear mineral-rich waters.
